  1. Our Vision and Values
  2. Our Value Days

Our Journey Days

Every Term, we choose one of our school values to explore during our 'Journey Day'.

Each Journey Day begins with a collective worship to introduce the value for the term. Pupils explore what the value really means through a range of engaging activities throughout the day. Our pupils enjoy working with pupils from other year groups to reflect on the terms value.  At the end of the Journey, we dig deeper into what the children have actually remembered and how their experiences transform their actions in the future.

Respect Journey Day

Our Journey day allowed children to reflect on the following questions:

What is respect?

What should we respect?

What can I do to show respect?

Kindness Journey Day

Our Journey Day is a special time each term where children can work with their friends across the school in mixed classes to reflect on their ideas about kindness. We recognise the importance to take time out of the normal school timetable to explore the biblical origins of Kindness and children are invited to share their ideas and what kindness means to them.

The children were involved with numerous activities during the day ranging from making Kindness jars and kind glitter hands. The children also gained knowledge about the science of kindness, how our brains are working when we perform an act of kindness. It is scientifically proven that we feel good when we are kind.
